DIY: blueberry, lavender + chocolate face mask

A homemade spa day is always a great idea.  When you work from home, self care can seem impossible, but a face mask can be whipped up pretty quickly and used while you're hustling at your desk.

This mask is geared toward breakout prone skin.  It mixes easy household ingredients with kaolin clay- a wonderfully exfoliating and gentle clay perfect for making masks.  Lavender and tea tree oils are essential skin healing ingredients for all skin while calamine helps reduce redness and any irritations.  So what are you waiting for?  Pour a glass or wine, turn on some great vibing music and give yourself a spa treatment.

Lavender essential oil is steam distilled from the flowering top in France, Idaho and Utah. It is one of the most versatile oils and is commonly known as the "Swiss Army Knife" of essential oils. It has amazing calming properties and is great for the skin and sleep. It is one oil you will likely find yourself reaching for often. Just a drop may help soothe minor skin abrasions, and a drop in a new tube of mascara can result in fuller, longer eyelashes.
